Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

My research focuses on linking environmental factors to human health outcomes using Geographic Information System (GIS) and data analytics. Specifically, I am interested in evaluating the effects of green space, climate extremes, water, air and noise pollution on childhood autism and Alzheimer’s disease among the aging population. In the long term, I hope to find novel approaches to mitigate the risk of these very challenging health problems. I have received extensive training in environmental health and have expertise and skills in multiple fields, including environmental science, epidemiology, geography, statistics, and data science.
