Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Outreach

CURA engages in outreach activities to serve as a bridge across academia, industry, the policy sector, and local communities. Each academic term, CURA hosts a series of speakers to introduce students, faculty, and the public to emerging topics related to urban science. We also work closely with campus partners to host events and workshops related to GIScience, urban studies, and other disciplines. Finally, to further the land grant mission of Ohio State, we partner with local organizations to share our technical expertise. Through partnerships with institutions like the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) and community engaged projects like Ghost Neighborhoods, we work to build more sustainable communities in Central Ohio and beyond.
