Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Education

  • Ph.D. Geography (ongoing), The Ohio State University
  • B.A. Geography: Data Science, University of Washington

My hometown is Lanzhou, Gansu Province, China. I completed my four years of high school in Austin, Texas. I have developed a strong interest in geography since high school. When I entered the University of Washington to pursue my bachelor's degree, I combined my research direction with geography and computer science. Initially, I was involved in a lot of WebMap courses and projects, as well as basic programming skills, data collection, and processing. Later, I got involved in machine learning and more research on satellite map manipulation and model algorithms such as deep fake. In my future studies, I hope to continue to use computer science, spatial data science, and other technologies to solve geographical problems.
