Dr. Angela Harden is a Research Associate Professor at The Ohio State University whose work focuses on transportation safety, injury prevention, and data-driven decision-making. Her research integrates crash data, geospatial analytics, machine learning, and public policy to identify risk factors, evaluate interventions, and support Safe System implementation. She serves as Principal Investigator on more than $7 million in externally funded research, including projects sponsored by the U.S. Department of Transportation, Ohio Department of Public Safety, and industry partners.
Dr. Harden leads interdisciplinary collaborations with state agencies, local governments, healthcare systems, and transportation stakeholders to improve roadway safety outcomes and strengthen data infrastructure. Her current work includes crash severity modeling, integrated safety data systems, vulnerable road user safety, and Vision Zero initiatives. Through CURA, she seeks to advance collaborative research at the intersection of transportation, urban systems, public health, and community-informed planning to support safer and more equitable communities.
