Ying Bai is originally from a small town in Shanxi, China—famous for its noodles. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Geography from a university in southern China, where she explored a variety of topics including geology, hydrology, climatology, surveying, and GIS. While these gave her a solid foundation, she was especially drawn to GIS for its versatility and potential to support many areas of geography. Her interests focus on transportation accessibility and site selection, and she uses tools like Python, R, and SQL to support her analysis. Currently, she is working on a web mapping project that visualizes Ghost Neighborhoods, aiming to make professional 3D models more accessible to the public.
