This week, CURA Director, Harvey Miller was featured in The Guardian. This article reviewed the newly anticipated Hummer Electric Vehicle. In 2010, the Hummer was discontinued by General Motors (GM). This truck is know for it's distinguished look to some and its environmental concerns to others. The weight of the car was brought up as something that did not change from the previous non-electric model. The vehicle weighs more than 4.5 tons, with the battery weighing almost 3,000lb. SUV's are more likely to kill pedestrians than cars. Harvey was quoted stating his concern over the vehicles weight recently after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street.
