Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

In the News: Columbus ranks sixth-best city for commuters

Columbus was recently named top 6 best cities for commuters by Clever Real Estate. This analysis was based on the cost and time people spent for their daily commute to work. NBC 4 interviewed CURA director, Harvey Miller, to see his take as a bicyclist in Columbus. SMART Columbus found that 82% of Columbus residents drive a single occupant vehicle to work. Miller, felt that this analysis neglected bicyclist, pedestirans, and public transit riders. 

Miller praised LinkUS, a “well-thought-out,” multi-pronged initiative he said will ease the city’s reliance on cars by proposing the installation of high-quality rapid transit lines, wider sidewalks, and increasing the visibility of crosswalks.
