Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

In the News: The Columbus Dispatch Features Ghost Neighborhoods Project

 Recently, CURA's Ghost Neighborhoods project was featured in a Columbus Dispatch article. The story covered the upcoming groundbreaking of the Poindexter Village African American Museum. The article included quotes from Ohio History Connection’s Shelbi Toone and historian Reita Smith. Among a research lab and community spaces, the museum will showcase CURA’s 3D models that display historic black neighborhoods in Columbus that were negatively impacted by urban renewal, including Poindexter Village. The groundbreaking is planned for May 6, 2026 with its official opening in February 2028.
