On October 1st, CURA and the Ohio State City and Regional Planning Student Association hosted several speakers to talk about the LinkUS initiative. Kim Sharp of COTA, Charles Newman of the City of Columbus, and Elliot Lewis of MORPC spoke about how the comprehensive transportation and development plan will add 45% more COTA service along with over 500 miles of sidewalk, trail, and bikeway improvements. The speakers made a compelling case about why the plan is essential to accommodate the region's growth, particularly from an equity standpoint. Following the presentation members of the online and in-person audience asked questions before CURA Director, Harvey Miller, delivered closing remarks.
