Armita Kar Successfully Defends Dissertation
This month, CURA graduate researcher, Armita Kar, successfully defended her dissertation “Inclusive Accessibility: Integrating person-based hard and soft constraints into transportation planning.”
Her dissertation committee consists of Ningchuan Xiao (Geography), Andre Carrel (City and Regional Planning), Srinivasan Parthasarathy (Computer Science and Engineering), and Christopher Haddad (Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry) as the Graduate School representative. Huyen Le and Harvey Miller, co-advised Armita.
Starting in August, Armita will be a post-doctoral researcher at the Center for Injury Research and Policy, Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
