Local Data, Local Impact: Community-Centered Research in Central Ohio

Love Data Week Panel
Thu, February 12, 2026
12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Virtual

Local data is a critical source of information for understanding and addressing community needs. Join us for a panel discussion where we will explore key questions about the role of local data in generating meaningful impact, whether it comes from existing sources or is newly generated through engaged scholarship. We will explore questions such as:

  • How are researchers across disciplines drawing on existing Central Ohio data sources to inform innovative, community-centered work?
  • In what ways can collaboration with communities lead to the creation of new sources of local data?
  • How can campus researchers and community partners work together to ensure that local data is accessible and relevant?

Together, we’ll consider how the creative use of local data can deepen partnerships, spark new research opportunities and strengthen the well-being of communities across Central Ohio.

This event will be held online and is open to the public.
