In July 2018, CURA, Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center, and the University Libraries Research Commons hosted GIS for the Rest of Us workshop. Women in Data Science Summer Camp hosted by the Translational Data Analytics Institute allowed CURA Outreach Coordinator Adam Porr the opportunity to work with this remarkable group of girls as part of the “Big Data for Good” session.
