In April 2017, CURA highlighted an event for Richard Florida who addressed Growing Income Inequality in U.S. CURA was a co-sponsor for the Provost's Discovery Theme Lecture Program, featuring thought-leader and professor Richard Florida on April 19. The event brought together the university community and off-campus professionals interested in hearing Florida's new take on the urban landscape, particularly how cities have evolved since the release of Rise of the Creative Class in 2002.
