In July 2015, CURA announced we awarded a $30,000 Engagement Impact Grant from the Office of Outreach and Engagement at Ohio State. One of CURA's Associate Directors, Associate Professor Maria Conroy in the Knowlton School, was the principal investigator on the grant. Funds supported a two-year program to plant and monitor the impact of street trees in the Weinland Park neighborhood, just southeast of the Ohio State campus. In partnership with The Columbus Foundation, Community Properties of Ohio, the Chadwick Arboretum, and others, CURA helped to develop a web map to measure and display the impact of urban trees.
