Ruochen Yin is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Geography at The Ohio State University. Her research examines heat and noise exposure during active travel and their implications for travel behavior and travel well-being. She serves as a Graduate Research Associate at the Center for Urban and Regional Analysis (CURA), where she works on a project analyzing vehicle–building collision incidents to support safer roadway design. Outside of academia, she enjoys crocheting and baking, and loves spending time with her baby and her cat
