Huicong Han is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Geography at The Ohio State University. She currently serves as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Urban and Regional Analysis, where she contributes to 3D point cloud–based analysis of buildings in historic neighborhoods.
Her research focuses on human-environment interactions in urban contexts from an environmental justice perspective, with particular attention to vulnerable populations. She is interested in how urban green infrastructure and the ecosystem services it provides, such as heat mitigation and health benefits, relate to social and spatial inequalities experienced by people with disabilities.
Drawing on mixed-methods approaches, her research integrates spatial analysis, including machine learning, and survey-based methods to examine the relationships between existing green space planning and the lived experiences of vulnerable groups in urban environments.
