The Center
for Urban and Regional Analysis (CURA) offers a wide range of research support
services relating to issues/problems that apply to urban and metropolitan areas,
rural areas, and broader regional issues.
Current
research in the Center includes, but is not limited to, housing, economic
development, infrastructure vulnerability assessment, emergency planning,
security monitoring, and spatial analysis and GIS in and beyond Ohio.
Potential
research support services include:
- Mapping
- Geographic
data processing and management
- GRA
and post doctoral matching support
- Visiting
researcher support
- Visiting
speaker support
- Working
group support for grant proposal development
In addition,
CURA supports faculty grant proposals specifically oriented for external grant
submission.
Requests for
research support services should be made to the director, Lawrence Brown. In the
case of staff support services, ability to accommodate requests is dependent on
nature of work, staff availability and center resources. Requests requiring
significant time and effort can be accommodated at prevailing rates.
Requests
involving monetary support are subject to review. In general, there is an annual
call for proposals to support working groups and seed grant development, but
special requests can be considered.
Faculty and
graduate students at OSU are eligible for these support service.
