Hello! My name is Di Wang and I am a History PhD student. I study the history of transportation in early modern Central Asia, primarily the transportation infrastructure of the Bukharan Khanate (in today’s Uzbekistan). I am excited to add my training in historical analysis and my language skill to CURA! At CURA, I will conduct archival research and do storytelling on ArcGIS StoryMaps for the Ghost Neighborhoods project. One digital tool I found very helpful is WAVE (https://wave.webaim.org/). It is a web accessibility evaluation tool that gives good suggestions. A user of WAVE can assess how accessible the design of a particular webpage is by simply entering the URL of the webpage.
